What are the Types of Malocclusion
Type 1 – Shape
This simply means that the shape of the arch around your teeth doesn’t allow your teeth to align properly.
Type 2 – Slanted
When your front teeth are titled towards your tongue away from the front of the mouth. This one can be caused if your teeth are too large for your jaw and can be painful to realign in some instances.
Type 3 – Underdeveloped
Lack of development is tough to overcome. This usually means that your arch around your mouth didn’t develop into what it needed to be to support your teeth.
What Causes Malocclusion
This is often a hereditary condition rather than a developed one. However, as you age, baby teeth falling out and being replaced may have teeth to grow to be too large or slanted poorly which damages your mouth. If you are unsure if you suffer from malocclusion, a consultation is the best route to get your teeth checked and a surefire understanding of what’s going on with your teeth.
